Overview

When Canvus is running on an interactive video wall, all rendering to multiple displays happens on a single computer with one or more graphics cards (GPUs). All displays must be connected to a GPU on this computer. There is no support for rendering a single instance of Canvus to multiple displays using several computers.

Similarly, all user input processing happens on the same computer. All input devices, like MultiTaction displays or touchscreens must be connected to the same computer.

Rendering to multiple displays is affected by three different levels of configuration that need to be done in order:

  1. Configure display layout in the operating system (see details for Windows or Linux )
  2. Configure the windows Canvus creates on the operating system desktop and how graphics are mapped to them (see details )
  3. Configure how input is mapped to the graphics (see details )
